Return Policy:
All products require an authorization number for return. As mentioned, some items are not returnable. If you have any questions if the items you are looking at are not returnable, please contact us BEFORE ORDERING. Please check your orders immediately upon receipt for any damage as all damage must be notified within 48 hours upon delivery-no exceptions. Since custom colors are not stocked, we must know of any return requests within 20 days. There is a restocking fee for any approved return of a minimum of $9.75 or a 25% restocking fee. Hardware must be in new, unopened condition and within the original box. Any damaged or missing hardware will not be credited if returned. All return requests must be made within 20 days of receipt of delivery, NO EXCEPTIONS, and must be in unopened, new condition.
All returns must be in the original packaging, not installed, in new condition, and include fasteners. ANY PRODUCT INSTALLED OR DAMAGED, INCLUDING SCRATCHED, CAN NOT BE RETURNED. Since our hardware is powder-coated finished, we cannot "touch up" any marks or scratches on returned products. They must be sent out to be refinished by hand at our powder coating vendor, so they cannot be returned for credit, no exceptions!
Returns received damaged or missing parts will NOT be credited and will be deduct from your return. Please get in touch with us to obtain an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) Number. For proper credit, this assigned number must be included in the return box and inside the package. If a return is sent without the RGA Number the return will not be credited. The customer must pay for all return shipping charges. Any lost or damaged packages are the customer's or return sender's responsibility and will not be refunded by GDHD or its vendors. If you are concerned about your return being lost or damaged upon the return, all carriers offer affordable insurance options for your return. If the customer decides to purchase insurance options for their return of goods, they are not refundable by GDHD, Inc.
OUR HARDWARE IS POWDER-COATED, NOT PAINTED. IT CAN NOT BE REPAINTED OR TOUCHED UP IF DAMAGED.
Some custom-finished, special-ordered items are non-returnable. Please contact us BEFORE ordering if you have questions. We do offer free design help with your hardware. Just send us a photo of your doors, and we'll let you know if the hardware you are interested in will fit your door. We will require measurements on your door, including headroom.
For all returns, we must be notified by email within 20 days of receipt of your order, but there are no exceptions. Please check your orders for missing parts or fasteners and damages immediately upon receipt. We will not supply missing parts or provide credit for damages after the 10-day receipt period, as mentioned above. So PLEASE open your hardware package and check for parts and damages even if you don't plan on installing immediately.
Signature of goods: Since the theft of goods has increased with more people purchasing goods online, some orders will require a signature upon delivery. Suppose the delivery company attempts to deliver and nobody can sign for the order. In that case, it may be placed at a nearby delivery center such as your local Postal Office, Fed-Ex, or UPS Support Center. Most carriers will make two attempts before returning to us. We will deduct any charges we receive from this, including a 25% restocking fee, from any refund of your order.
It is the customer's responsibility to check on order status and pick-ups. Items must be picked up within the assigned days as listed on the delivery email or package/door tag to avoid return charges. Once an item is returned, we will deduct ALL COSTS we are charged by the shipper and/or vendors including restocking charges associated with the return from your refunded amount. These costs include any charges from the vendor and or delivery companies as mentioned above.
Some items are non-returnable. If you are unsure if our hardware will fit your door, contact us BEFORE ordering. We can help find the right hardware for your door. The most common size strap hinge is 16” in length. Single car doors typically use one set of four strap hinges. If you have a Double door-wider than 14’, then you should order two sets of hardware or eight strap hinges.
Many items sold on our site are customed finished and may require extended lead times due to finishing requirements and vendor inventory.
We are not able to “hold” your order or hardware items unless it is paid in full. All products are sold on a first-in, first-out basis. We get orders 24/7, and inventory status can change within minutes. We may have 400 hinges in stock and 30 minutes later, be out of stock. If you are concerned about inventory, please place your order immediately. The inventory levels are shown on a product item as listed on our website are NOT MONITORED OR ADJUSTED SINCE WE HAVE BOTH ONLINE AND DIRECT SALES. Again, If you want an item, place an order as soon as possible.
